The wildly fabulous and famous Annual Million Dollar Boat Run in Grand Cayman returns this April. This race is almost as much fun watching from the shore as it is racing along in the speed boats! Much of the course can be viewed right from the beach in front of the Tortuga Kai condo!

Pirates Week is simply fantastic! For 11 days Grand Cayman transcends time and fills its small towns with music, street dances, costumes, games, food and drink,"pirate invasion", Kids Day, glittering parade, sports events, Heritage Days, fireworks! It's 11 fun-filled, festive days in the sun with something for everyone, and a lot of it is FREE! The festival begins with a bang! First it's fireworks, followed by a local song contest and then, almost every day for 11 days, Caribbean rhythms pulsate in open-air street dances until the wee hours of the morning. An authentic slice of the native Caribbean! A mock "pirate invasion" from the sea! Two old-time sailing vessels, loaded with "pirates" make a Saturday surprise landing at George Town harbor. Do not miss this event! Thousands of locals and tourists alike line the streets to watch & partake in the spectacle. It's good-natured fun, with a new twist every year. Families love it. This is the only event of its kind in the Caribbean region. |

Run Away...to the most beautiful marathon in the Caribbean. The Cayman Islands is hosting their annual marathon, half marathon, and 4-person relay. Running is truly a breeze as you coast along the sugar sand beaches, cruise through Cayman's scenic Caribbean neighborhoods, and sprint to the finish in shoreline streets of downtown. The marathon benefits the Cayman Islands Cadet Corps and the Cayman Islands Cancer Society. The course will be open for 6 hours and is timed via computer chip. Participants receive a tee-shirt, finisher's medal, and finisher's certificate. So come and Run Away to Grand Cayman! |
